Gumbo YaYa's

Last weekend we went our with our friends Bobby, Loryn, and their little girl Brianna to Gumbo YaYa's on Beach Blvd. (near San Pablo.) They serve authentic New Orleans Cajun food and have crab boils on Friday and Saturday nights!
I always get the same thing whenever we go there...the Shrimp Etouffee (shrimp sautéed in a creamy butter roux and served over rice.) The entrees come with a side of bread, and I can't get enough of it! I was really excited when Loryn gave me some of her bread. She is a good friend :)

Here are the other entrees from the table:

Loryn - Roast Beef with Rice (side of onion rings)

Bobby - Seafood Gumbo

Brianna- Corn Dog
That corn dog was looking good, I wanted one!
She didn't want me to take her picture, but I sneaked her into the shot!

Ivan - Crabcake PoBoy

Other good entrees (from our experiences) include:
  • Jambalaya
  • Shrimp PoBoy
If you have never been there and don't know what to get, try the Trois Choix. It is your choice of 3 different entrees. You can easily split it between 2 people and it's a great way to try different entrees.
