Creme de la Cocoa

If you asked me where to find the best desserts in St. Augustine, I would reply “Crème de la Cocoa” before you even finished your sentence. Chef Nils is a master in the kitchen and everything he creates is magical. He's so good that he was on Food Network's Cake Wars! 

Creme de la Cocoa has been located inside of DOS Coffee on San Marco Ave for a little over a year now, but the time has come for them to expand. They are opening a storefront directly across the street, and I got a sneak peek inside before their grand opening takes place on July 19! 

I took a step inside and the sweet smell of sugar tickled my senses. The interior is open and bright with marble counter tops that house all of their delectable desserts including handmade chocolates, marshmallows, cookies, and cakes (they also make custom cakes for weddings and parties.)

I took a tour of the building and was surprised with how huge it actually is. There is a nice big kitchen area in the back with rows of supplies, heavy duty mixers, metal tables, and big ovens.

They have a private room off to the side that is accentuated with beautiful tables and light fixtures. This room will be used for classes/parties in the future, as well as a place where you can sit down and enjoy some sweets while in the shop.
