Pizza Paddle

I was invited out to Pizza Paddle (located off of Southside and Touchton) this week to taste a sampling of items from their menu. They are primarily a pizza place but they have other offerings like subs, salads, and chicken wings. We sat down and talked a little bit with their Public Relations associate Marina, and the Owner Claudio. They talked to us about the restaurant and how they use the freshest ingredients possible. They have only been open for a few months so they are trying to get the word out about the restaurant. They offer online ordering as well as delivery, so you can enjoy a fresh hot meal from the comfort of your couch! We went in on a Wednesday for dinner and were surprised with the amount of people coming in for take-out orders. The phone was ringing off the hook and a steady stream of people were coming in to pick up their food.

We were treated to a few different menu items – A Caesar salad, Ultimate Cheddar pizza (Seasoned ground beef, bacon, and cheddar), chicken wings, and a meatball sub. The meatball sub is a brand new menu item. It’s not on the menu yet so you have to make sure to ask for it!

Our first course was the Caesar salad. It was dressed perfectly and loaded with cheese and croutons.

The chicken wings were another hit. My husband is not a big wing eater and he couldn’t get enough of them. They are tossed in Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce and are baked, not fried. They were very tender and fell apart when you bit into them.

The pizza was very cheesy and had a nice saltiness from the bacon. The crust was not too thick and not too thin, it was just right. We were very pleased with everything.

Our favorite menu item of the night was the meatball sub. It was pretty fantastic! Everything was great on it, from the bread to the meat to the sauce. The bread was soft enough to melt in your mouth, but firm enough to hold up against all of that delicious sauce. The meatballs were very tender and the sandwich overall was packed with flavor. This was a nice hearty sandwich that everyone will love.

Verdict: Loved It!

We were very impressed with everything we tried and had a great time talking to everyone. We can see this becoming a regular lunch/dinner spot for us. They have a great location and offer delivery, so they are very convenient. They are located in the Publix shopping center on the Touchton side of the road. They are in the process of redesigning their menu to add some items including dessert pizza and the amazing meatball sub I mentioned earlier. I will keep you all updated on the dessert pizzas, so stay tuned!
