Smashburger

Tonight I talked my parents into going to Smashburger at the beach. The girl behind the counter asked if it was our first time in. When we told her it was, she told us a little about the food and I was very happy to hear that the beef is never frozen, 100% black angus beef (I hope I got that right!).

I got the Create Your Own Burger with a Classic Egg bun, Pepper jack cheese, and Buffalo Sauce (and a side of ranch like always). I really liked it! I am a really big fan of thin burgers (a la Steak n' Shake) so this was right up my alley.

My dad got the Mushroom Swiss burger and a side of Sweet potato Smashfries. The fries are tossed with rosemary, olive oil, and garlic. The fries were also thin, just the way I like them. 

My mom got the Ultimate Cheese and a side of Smashfries.

Overall I think Smashburger was really good. I like the thin "smashed" burger and I really like the build your own burger option. The only negative is that everything was really greasy. I understand the burgers being that way, but even the fries at the bottom of the pile were swimming in grease. I still think it's worth a shot if you are out in the area. The prices are good and I like the casual vibe...plus TCBY is right next door!
